Qualitative research in medical settings

Research in medical settings employs of a range of qualitative methods – interviews, observations, go-alongs, video recordings, etc. – in order to analyse and theorize medical work, medical knowledge, health care, patient–provider interaction, and much more. This session invites submissions on methodological experiences and challenges in medical settings, with a particular focus on how researchers can draw on contemporary methodological inventiveness to find and explain surprising processes or phenomena.
